Our Labor Day McCormick Backyard BBQ!

Our Labor Day backyard BBQ was extra special this year thanks to McCormick and Crowdtap!  I was one of the many lucky people who were selected for the McCormick Grill Mates Grill Ambassador Party through Crowdtap!   Not familiar with Crowdtap?  In short, it is basically a site where you as a consumer have the opportunity to voice your opinion.  Through many different activities, including Sample Shares, House Parties, Web Shares, Discussions and more, you can interact with your favorite brands while at the same time earning free stuff and points!  Points you can cash in for awesome prizes and gift cards to sites like Amazon, Bonabos, Blank Label and many more!  But that is not all!  When you first sign up, you select your favorite charity, and each time you complete certain challenges, Crowdtap will make a donation to your charity of choice.  It’s a win-win situation for everyone!  Interested in joining?  Click here and you will be on your way!

So, as I mentioned, I was selected to host a party using McCormick’s awesome new product line, Grill Mates .  This line consists of a delectable selection of products including seasonings, rubs, marinades and sauces, everything you need to make your barbeque a delicious success!  I received a free full size sample of their Spiced Brandy & Herb Marinade, Slow & Low Memphis Pit BBQ Rub, a bottle of their Brown Sugar Bourbon BBQ Sauce, a Montreal Steak Seasoning and a Molasses Bacon Seasoning.
We had about 11 people total to serve and cooked up a feast!  Ribs, chicken, hamburger, pork chops and brats were all thrown on the grill, while the sides included corn, fresh green beans, potato salad, pasta salad and more!  A feast fit for a king!
Molasses Bacon Seasoning: we mixed this in with the ground beef then shaped our hamburger patties, finally adding another sprinkle before grilling.
Spiced Brandy & Herb Marinade: this is a dry marinade that you mix with oil, water and either apple cider or vinegar to form a marinade for chicken , pork or fish.  We used it for our chicken.
Montreal Steak Seasoning: this we sprinkled over our pork chops and the brats.
Brown Sugar Bourbon BBQ Sauce: this was slathered onto the ribs both during and after grilling.
Slow & Low Memphis Pit BBQ Rub:  this one we decided to hold onto until next time, since the overall consensus was to try the BBQ Sauce with the ribs!

This was one of our best tasting barbeques yet!   Everyone really enjoyed all of the food, though some had their favorites.  The children really enjoyed the sweet taste of the Brown Sugar Bourbon, while my sister-in-law and her mother and aunt favored the Montreal Steak Seasoning on the pork chops.  My husband and his father and uncle loved the Molasses Bacon Seasoning on the burgers and I, well I would be hard pressed to pick a favorite!  All in all, the McCormick Grill Mates products were a huge success!  Try some at your next barbeque!

I received these products for free for being a member of Crowdtap.  I was not paid in any way. All opinions are my own.
