Covergirl and Olay: The Final Bzz

BzzAgent

As you know, I am a BzzAgent and few weeks ago I told you about my most recent BzzCampaign for Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation and Covergirl and Olay Pressed Powder (read more here).  Together both products give you beautifully radiant, fresh-looking skin, help cover the signs of aging and add moisture to improve skin tone over time. This campaign has turned out to be a huge success!
My BzzKit came with a full size bottle of the foundation and powder compact.  I also received a bunch of $2.00 coupons to share with my family and friends.  My first impression was quite positive, with both products leaving my skin soft, smooth and radiant.  I wanted to use them for a couple of weeks longer before I gave my full opinion, and here it is.

Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation
This silky-feeling foundation comes in a handy pump-bottle that gives out the perfect amount of foundation after 1 or 2 pumps. Using either a sponge or fingertips, I found that it goes on smoothly and evenly, effectively covering fine lines and discoloration.  It has been clinically shown to improve skin tone with over time due to its hydrating qualities. It does have a noticeable floral fragrance, but I stopped being aware of it after awhile.  I tend to shy away from foundation because I never liked the heavy “caked-on” feeling the majority gave me, regardless of how little I applied, but I found this one to be completely different.  It is surprisingly light, and leaves my skin feeling soft and silky smooth.  I am in my late 30’s and have been blessed with youthful-looking skin as far as wrinkles are concerned, to where I am just now beginning to see tiny lines around the corners of my eyes.  However, I do have some discoloration around the sides of my nose, where the skin is slightly red with enlarged pores.  The Covergirl and Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation does a wonderful job of masking these signs of aging, covering the red to where my skin tone appears even, and the pores are much less noticeable.  The foundation contains a Serum that continuously hydrates your skin, so using it daily, over time the appearance of your skin tone begins to look more moisturized and even.  I have normal/combination skin and have had no problems with excessive oiliness or shine from the added moisture, but I have heard of one or two people with oily skin not being too happy with the results.  Of course, ever individual is different so what works for one may not for another.  Coverage lasts the entire day so I do not have to be concerned with reapplying, and with the addition of the powder, my skin stays non-shiny all day long.

Covergirl and Olay Pressed Powder
Like the foundation, this powder goes on smoothly and is extremely light feeling.  Once applied, there is no ‘caking’ or heaviness, instead it adds a touch of healthy color increasing the appearance of youthful, radiant skin.  Although I prefer using a powder brush, I found that this pressed powder does much better using the pad it came with.  It takes just a little bit of powder for a long-lasting, shine-free look, and is the perfect compliment to the foundation.  I also noticed a slight floral fragrance with this powder, but it is much less noticeable than with the foundation.  Depending on the where I am and what I am doing, the coverage pretty much lasts all day, maybe having to reapply one time if I am outside in the heat often.
The Verdict
I am very satisfied with both products.  Not only do they improve my skin tone, but together they leave my skin looking and feeling soft and radiant.  They are sold individually and are available at all major groceries, drug stores and mass merchandizers.  The Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation is available in 14 different shades to match any skin tone, with a suggested retail price of $13.99.  The Pressed Powder comes in 6 complimentary shades and I have seen it priced around $8 to $12 all at different stores.   Not sure of your shade?  Check out the Color Match tab on the Covergirl website.  So while the products are pricey, to me, it is definitely worth it!

They sent me the wrong color foundation! I do not even want to know what I would look like it with it on. But I LOVE the powder. I had not used Cover Girl powder in AGES, and it is really good!
