Try Before You Buy with Beauty Box Five

    All of my readers know I love monthly subscription box services.  I adore the idea of getting a box full of new products to try delivered directly to my door for a minimal cost.  I believe these boxes are the perfect way to try out new products before you buy.  I have many favorites, ranging from green products to pet products, and I am so excited to tell you that one of my absolute favorite beauty product subscription box services just gave me the opportunity to review more of their boxes over the next few months, Beauty Box 5!


   For those who are not familiar with Beauty Box Five, each month you will receive 4 to 5 beauty-related product samples from a wide selection of great beauty brands.  Top brands such as Everyday Minerals, Tree Hut, Blinc, Blum naturals, Tree Hut, Freeman and many more, sent right to your door for only $12 a month! 
   The samples are a fairly good size, more like a travel-sized item, so you can get plenty of uses out of each item.  This is the perfect way to try out a new product and see how it works for you!  How many times have you paid a pretty penny for a full sized, new product only to find out it wasn’t for you, leaving you with you an entire product that will never be used?  I have many times. That is just one of the reasons I like Beauty Box Five, now I can try a product and find out if I like it before I actually buy it!  


    When you sign up for Beauty Box Five, you have the option of choosing from 3 different memberships, and depending on the length of time you subscribe, you can save even more!  The membership options are:

• Monthly for $12, due each month
• Quarterly for $30, due each quarter (save $6)
• Yearly for $100, due once a year (save $44)

   The March Beauty Box Five had some really great products!  My box arrived in the mail just a few days after shipping (boxes are shipped on the 15th of each month) in the signature teal blue box.  Inside were 6 new items and a card detailing each product along with its suggested retail price.

La Fresh: Nail Polish Remover Wipe $3.99 for 6 wipes
   A quick and easy way to remove nail polish, La Fresh Nail Polish Remover wipes fit perfectly in your purse.  Each packet contains one pad.  No more harsh smells or messy spills!  If you are out and about and notice a chip in your polish, this is a quick and easy way to effectively remove every last bit of polish.  Each wipe contains Aloe Vera to help prevent nails from drying out. Also available in Acetone-free.

Brazen Cosmetics: Eye shadow $7.49 0.18oz
   Made with beneficial ingredients such as minerals, oils, extracts and vitamins, Brazen Cosmetics Eye shadow comes in a great selection of unique, bold and daring, long-lasting shades.  All colors are custom-blended.  I received a sample of their eye shadow in Buzzed, a dark, mocha-brown with a satin finish that is not too matte and not too sparkly, just perfectly in-between.  This shadow is intensely pigmented, a little bit goes a long way!

Tree Hut: Moisturizing Lotion/Body Butter $6.49 9oz
   Made with certified organic Shea butter and other all- natural ingredients, this great body butter provides long lasting moisture to dry skin.  Tropical Mango Shea Body Butter has a wonderfully sweet, tropical scent, and a small amount is all you need to provide plenty of moisture to dry skin.  Tree Hut products are never tested on animals.

H2O Plus: Spa Sea Salt Body Wash  $17.00 12.5 oz.
   H2O products use marine-life science to create their line of skin-care products.  Their Sea Salt Body Wash is made with Japanese Green Tea and Provitamin B.  It has a light lather that gently cleanses your skin while leaving it smooth and moisturized.

H2O Plus: Aquafirm Eye-Lift Concentrate $38.00 0.5oz
   H2O Plus’ Aquafirm Eye Lift Concentrate is an all-in-one formula that lifts, firms, lightens, repairs and hydrates the delicate skin around your eyes.  The formula is light, and absorbs quickly.

My Verdict
   March was a wonderful month for Beauty Box Five.  I am truly impressed with each product I tried, and while I was familiar with a a few of the brands, I also discovered some new one’s whose products I enjoyed!  I still have plenty left of each “sample”, too!  As you can see from the prices, were I to have bought each of these products, I would have spent around $75 just to see if I liked the items!  With Beauty Box Five, $12 is the total cost!  An incredible deal!
