This is part five of a six part individual beauty product review series of Beauty Box 5.   Beauty Box 5 is a monthly beauty product subscription service that will send you 4 or 5 samples of beauty products from a large variety of brands.  It will cost you around $12 a month, and the box will ship out towards the middle of the month.  If you would like to find out more or sign up you can visit their website http://www.beautybox5.com/.

The fifth product sample I received was some vegan eye shadow that is made by The All Natural Face, as well as a sponge-tipped applicator.  Their mission at The All Natural Face is to provide the best mineral cosmetics possible.  They do not use any artificial ingredients just “pure and simple ingredients from the earth.”  They also make a wide variety of other bath and body products including perfumes, deodorants, tanning lotions, hair care products and so much more!  You should check out their site at http://www.theallnaturalface.com.

The vegan mineral eye shadow came in a color called Orange Ice Storm.  Orange Ice Storm is the perfect name for this shadow as it is a very frosted, pale peachy-orange color.

The little container came with a sifter on it so all I had to do was sprinkle a little powder into the lid and then apply.  It went on very easily and smoothly, and a little bit went a long way. The only thing is, the color did not look the same as it did in the container.  Once on, it looked almost like a shiny off-white color.

However, this is a color I would usually use to accentuate another darker color.  Plus, I know that a lot of frosted shadows, and some matte one’s, will do the same thing.  I have heard that if you use an eye shadow primer, this will not only help the shadow to stay on longer, but it will allow the shadow to go on looking like the same color as it is in the container;  plus it makes the colors really ‘pop’.  The All Natural Face does offer eye shadow primer on their site.
I also read on the All Natural Face website that you could use these eye shadows as a liquid-type shadow by dipping your brush into a little water, then into the powder.   I tried it both ways and found that when I applied it wet, it went on a little darker than when I applied it dry, but both ways worked fine.  It is really a matter of personal opinion. The color stayed on through out the day with only needing 1 touch up.
There are tons of other beautiful shades, both matte and frosted, on their website.  I found their prices to be pretty fair, with a 0.07 ounce container of this eye shadow selling for $3.50.  That is pretty good as I can see this lasting for quite awhile.   Again, you can look at their selection on their site at http://www.theallnaturalface.com
My opinion?  I really do like this eye shadow, but I would prefer to try some in other shades as well.  I will definitely use it again, especially once I find a coordinating color to blend with it.  Check back tomorrow for the final post in my six part Beauty Box 5 individual product review.

I received this product for free for the purpose of review.  I was not compensated in any way, and all opinions are my own.  I am not under contract with any company, and I chose to review this product.

The colors of the vegan eye shadow is different and cute. I would definitely try this product, and the beauty box idea is great!
