House Party Kit Arrived!

Hope Springs House Party

     I received a very special delivery the other day from this awesome site know as House Party!   If you are not familiar with House Party it is this great site where you apply to do just that, throw a house party.  House Party works with tons of companies to help advertise different products through word of mouth marketing.  What they do is choose a certain amount of people from a pool of applicants to host a party at their home in order to promote a company's product. If accepted House Party will then send you a kit full of everything you need to throw a great bash in return for you sharing the results of your party through out your social network.  They have worked with such name brands as Seagrams, Fisher Price, Redbook, Blue Bunny, Silk and so many more!  Products promoted include everything from foods to magazines to games to movies.   The parties usually occur on the same day so it winds up being this giant network of people having individual parties all across the world.  The House Party website is set up to where you can plan your party online and get all the help you need, as well as share your ideas with tons of other people who will also be hosting the same party as you.  After the party you can go back to the site and share using pictures, videos and more.      This is actually my very first party through House Party and I cannot wait!  I will be throwing a party to help promote Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones' new romantic comedy, Hope Springs. A box-full of fun!! IT'S PARTY TIME!!

     Let me tell you about something interesting that happened just to give you an idea about what a great site House Party is.  My original package arrived about a week ago, and when I opened it I wanted to cry because almost all of the wine glasses had been broken in transport.  I immediately contacted House Party, and within 30 minutes had a response apologizing and letting me know they had put my name on a replacement list.  They did not know at that point however how long it might take, but told me I would receive a tracking notice when the new glasses where en route.  The very next day I received my notice! Had it not been for the weekend, I would have received them yesterday, but since it was, they came first thing this morning!
     So after a moment of worry, it looks like the party is on!  Check back in the next week or so and I'll tell you all about it!
