Beauty Box 5 : Blum Naturals Product Review

Blum Naturals Oil Absorbing Facial Tissues

Beauty Box 5 Product Review

Part 2 of a 6 Part Series

For all new readers, this is the second installment of a 6 part series product review of Beauty Box 5.  The first post was a review of the opening of the box, and each subsequent post will contain a review of each individual product.  I wanted to be able to use the products I received in my Beauty Box 5 for a couple of days before I wrote a review of each individual product.  This post begins the review of each individual product.  If you are not familiar with Beauty Box 5, it is a beauty product monthly subscription site that will send you 4 to 5 samples of beauty related products from a wide selection of great brands each month. You can learn more by visiting their site at https://www.beautybox5.com/ .
The first product I tested was Oil Absorbing Facial Tissues made by Blum Naturals (pronounced bloom).  I must admit I was skeptical when I first saw this product, not because I thought they wouldn't remove oil, but because I did not think they could do so without ruining your makeup.  I was wrong, because they did just what they were advertised to do!

These small pieces of all natural tissue are only about 2 1/4" by 3 1/4", which is the perfect size for carrying around in your purse, and they are powder free.  When I first removed one from the handy little case I was instantly reminded of that colorful tissue paper people use to wrap presents in they way that the tissue both sounded and felt.  I was really wondering if that was what it was!   But after a closer look, and touch, I realized that the Blum Facial Tissues are thinner and much softer to the touch, and of course they are natural, and I am pretty sure that the wrapping tissue is not.  In fact, they are so natural that they contain no parabens, fragrances, alcohol or preservatives.  They are also PH balanced, hypoallergenic and have never been tested on animals.

Fresh tissue
The directions tell you to take a tissue and simply blot the sheet gently around your nose, cheeks, forehead and chin, using either or both sides, and repeat as often as needed.  Easy, and effective!  I was actually amazed at the amount of oil that came off onto the tissue, and the difference it made in the amount of shine on my face.  You could actually see the oil on the tissue.
You can the the oil, but no makeup, on the tissue
What you could not see on the tissue was any of my makeup.  It had not pulled any off, nor had it smeared it or smudged it.  My next question was, how long will this last?  Well, I didn't exactly time it, but I can tell you that I only used 3 tissues through out the day (from around 7am to 5pm).  Of course this will vary from person to person depending on your skin.  It was nice to not have to reapply my facial powder 3 or 4 times in order to keep the shine away!
According to the card I received with my Beauty Box 5, these handy little Oil Absorbing Facial Tissues retail for around $2.99 for a case of 50.  Not bad for something that will save you a lot of powder!  If you are interested in Blum Naturals Oil Absorbing Tissues you can find them, along with many more all natural products, on the Blum Naturals website at http://blumnaturals.com/.
My opinion?  I like them a lot!  I like that they are made by a company that believes in using only ingredients that are found in nature, never testing on animals and even making the manufacturing process as environmentally friendly as possible!  I especially like them because they work, they are easy to carry with you and they provide a quick remedy to keeping your face looking clean and shine-free!
Check back tomorrow for part three of the beauty Box 5 individual product review series!

I received this product for free as part of a product review.  I was not compensated in any way, and all opinions are my own!
