I received the entire Silicon Healthy Restoration line which is for dry, damaged hair.  This line uses Keratin, Ceramides (naturally occurring lipids), Silicone and Pearl Proteins to give your hair   “A strong, healthy shine you can feel as this line heals damaged hair from the inside out”.   It rids your hair of split ends while it strengthens and fortifies your hair to give it a deep, healthy shine.  The collection offers many products including 2 types of shampoos and 2 types of masks (one for Fortifying, one for Moisturizing), a protective leave-in conditioner and a polishing serum.  I was sent the following for review:
  • the Silicon Fortifying Shampoo
  • the Silicon Protective Leave In
  • the Silicon Fortifying Hair Mask and
  • the Silicon Hair Polishing Serum
Each one has this wonderful, fresh scent, almost like a rich, nutty scent.  I used each product as directed for 3 weeks before writing this review in order to be able to give a fair and accurate review.  Here is my review of each individual product, along with my opinion.
    Silicon Fortifying Shampoo:
This shampoo is for dry, brittle hair with split ends. It contains Silicone, Keratin and Protein and should strengthen, revitalize hair while providing flexibility and shine.  The directions say to apply to wet hair, let it act for 2 minutes, then rinse.
Pros:  this shampoo did do as advertised. I noticed a huge difference in the strength of my hair, the shine and, what is now, the lack of dead-ends.
Cons: it took a lot more than I thought it would in order to get a rich, thick headful of lather, and I have short, but thick, hair.
Silicon Leave-In conditioner:
This leave-in conditioner is for moisturizing, protecting and detangling hair.  It contains Silicone, Keratin and Ceramides (naturally occurring lipids) and should help prevent dryness while protecting and detangling hair with intense conditioning.  The directions on the bottle say to apply to wet hair, style as usual and let it dry naturally. No need to rinse.
Pros:  It was very easy to work through my hair, quickly detangling it while coating it thoroughly.  Once my hair was dry, I could not tell it was in, it did not leave a greasy feel.  My hair remained soft and tangle-free through out the day and over time became less dry and brittle.
Cons:  my hair is naturally curly and some things tend to weigh my curls down. With this in my hair, I found I had to use more of my styling cream to keep my curls defined.
Silicon Fortifying Hair Mask:
This fortifying mask is for moisturizing and revitalizing hair.  It contains Silicone, Keratin and Protein for leaving hair stronger and more manageable.  The directions on the bottle say to wash hair then apply mask while gently massaging, let it remain in hair for 2 to 3 minutes then rinse.  I did notice that on their site it says to use this 2 times a month, so I have only used it twice.
Pros:  It was very easy to work through my hair, instantly removing tangles.  It rinsed out easily without leaving that slick/greasy feeling that you have to rinse over and over to completely remove.
Cons: none
Silicon Hair Serum Hair Polisher:
This clear serum is for forming a protective film on hair to eliminate frizz and add shine.  It contains Silicone.  The directions on the bottle say to apply a small amount in your palm and then spread along your hair. It can be applied to damp or dry hair.
Pros:  it was easy to use and did give my hair extra shine.  The frizz seemed a less as well.
Cons:  it took a little bit more than I had expected.
So, my overall opinion?  This did work to strengthen my hair, add shine and get rid of dead ends.  So in that sense, it is great. My only concern is that I have naturally curly hair, and I found it did not curl as well when using this line.  I had to use more of my curling cream than usual, and even then my curls were not as many and not as defined.  I would probably consider using another one of nuNAAT’s collections next time.  However, if you have dry, brittle and damaged hair, with split ends, I would highly recommend nuNAAT’s Silicon Healthy Restoration.
nuNAAT products can be found at Walgreens, Wal-Mart, Sally Beauty Supplies, Navarro Discount Pharmacy or online at Walgreens, drugstore.com and sallybeauty.com .  Check out their entire line on their site, HERE and don’t forget you can find them on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
You can also have a chance to win your very own collection here, on Bullock’s Buzz.  nuNAAT will send to the winner their own Silicon Healthy Restoration Hair Care System.  Just use the Rafflecopter below to enter.  Valid only in the United States of America. Contest will begin at 12:01am EST on August 6, 2012 and run thru August 11, 2012 at 12:01am EST.

After living in the desert (dry heat), moving to North Carolina (humidity) and now Indiana I probably need something like this. My hair is all bad at the ends. I will definitely check to see if I can find this in the stores. Thank you. http://homemom3.com

Hmmm, it may not be the best product for people who want to have that curl to their hair but mine is straight as a stick and I like it that way. With all the humidity here lately I could really use something like this that would tame my "wings" that pop out on either side of my head. This might be worth a shot.
