Pawalla: A Monthly Subscription Box For Our Four Legged Friends

A Plethora of Pawallicious Treats!

pawlogo
So the other day I posted about one of the many monthly subscription box services that are out there for everyone from make up lovers to fisherman, and now I want to tell you about one for our beloved four legged friends, Pawalla. For $26 a month (or $21/month if you subscribe for a year) your pets will receive six or more full sized goodies ranging from food to supplements to treats to toys, and better yet, all of the foods, supplements and treats are hand picked by a certified Pet Nutritionist and are 100% natural.
Both Sookie (the cat member of our family) and I were extremely impressed by the presentation and contents of her first box! I think Sookie was possibly more excited than I as it was delivered while we were eating dinner, and as soon as I set the box down on the floor, she was all over it meowing and begging!   I kid you not!  I don’t know if it was her understanding me saying I had a treat for her, or if she could smell it or what, but that cat was ready for the box to be opened right that minute!

Once opened, I was completely surprised!  It was definitely not what I was expecting, it was better!  First of all, everything was nestled neatly in its own spot and surrounded with purple colored paper shreds.  Secondly was the amount of items and the quality, very nice!  It has exactly what was promised, a great selection of all natural foods, treats and supplements, along with a health care item and a toy!  Also included is a sheet of paper that lists each item in the box with a very detailed explanation. Let me tell you all about each item!

Four Cans of Gourmet Cat Food:
Sookie was about to eat better than we do!  There were two 3 ounce cans of Petite Cuisine wet cat food, one New England Crab Cakes Entrée and one Sesame Chicken Entrée, and two 5.5 ounce cans of Precise Feline Foundation Formula Chicken wet cat food.  As I mentioned before, all foods that are hand picked by Pawalla’s Pet Nutritionist have to be all natural, complete balanced meals. All of the meals use real meats, and eggs and vegetables for extra nutrition.

One 1/2 ounce Can of Kitty Kaviar
Bonito ( a fish in the mackerel family with high levels of omego 3 acids) is the only ingredient in this treat.  When I first opened it, it reminded me of fish food because it is very thin shavings of the fish.  It is a great source of vitamins and minerals which help to maintain muscle function, electrolyte balance, strong bones and heart, cardiovascular and kidney health.  Sookie wasn’t too sure about it at first, but when I sprinkled it over her food, she ate it up!

One 45 Bag of Pet Naturals Daily Best: Daily Multi-Vitamin/Supplement
These are chewy, sugar-free, chicken liver flavored, bite-sized multi-vitamins that are shaped like fish.  They contain more than a day’s worth of the essential amino acid Methionine, as well as the Omega 3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, the B complex vitamins which are involved in cellular metabolism, folic acid and taurine for nervous system care, and Omega 6, for healthy skin and coat.   Sookie loves them and thinks they are treats.  There are 45 in the bag and you give your cat one in the a.m and one in the p.m.

One Bag of Cloud Star Buddy Biscuits Cat Treats (3oz)
These round-shaped, soft cat treats are both gluten and grain free, and contain no eggs, which may make them an ideal option if your cat has food sensitivities. Instead the ingredients include real chicken, chickpeas, flour and tapioca starch with forms of Vitamin E and rosemary as the natural preservatives. These are definitely going to replace my store-bought brand of treats since Sookie seems to like these just as much!

One Bottle of Tropiclean Fresh Breath Clean Teeth Gel (2 fl. oz.)
This is an easy natural solution to brushing your cat’s teeth and gums.  You just apply the gel directly to the cat’s teeth once a day.  You will notice a lot of licking going on, but that is exactly what is supposed to happen as the gel mixes with the saliva and coats all surfaces of the teeth and gums.  It’s best to withhold food and water for 30 minutes before and after treatment, which will be working to remove plaque and tartar as soon as it is applied.  While tooth brushing is not necessary, it can help to speed up the removal of plaque and tartar.  It is recommended to use this product daily for the first 30 days, then you can reduce it to 2 times a week for maintenance.  As every cat owner knows, trying to open your cats mouth can be an ordeal, so I would suggest asking someone to gently, but firmly hold the cat while you apply;  it is much easier than brushing a cat’s teeth, and much cheaper than taking your cat to the vet for a professional brushing!  It has this pleasant minty smell, though I cannot tell you how it tastes, but I have noticed a difference in Sookie’s teeth, in that the yellow-color is almost completely gone!

Petite Cuisine All Natural Grilled Tuna Treat
This is without a doubt Sookie’s absolute favorite treat, and why shouldn’t it be?  After all it is a bag of 100% pure and natural filets of fresh Whole Tuna that are cooked and then packed in water.  The fish are wild caught, with Dolphin and Eco-Safe Sustainable Fishing methods. The package closes like a Ziploc bag so it remains fresh for awhile, and there is an expiration date on it as well.  This treat helps to supply the necessary protein needed by every cat daily, as well as the omega 3 fatty acids which provide anti-inflammatory properties. Sookie doesn’t care about all of that, but I do, and I love knowing I am giving her a treat she literally asks for at the same time every day that is so good for her!

One Kong Refillable Pajama Buddy Toy with Catnip
This is a super cute, soft toy rabbit, maybe about 4” in length, that comes complete with a good-sized tube of high quality catnip to guarantee hours of hyped-up, spastic fun!  It has an opening on the back side where you stuff in the catnip, that closes securely so none will fall out.  Once filled, it becomes your cat’s new best friend!  The perfect size to chew on, kick and bat around, Sookie will play with her new toy daily, and wants us to play with her!  A fun game of “fetch-and-return” will wear her out nicely before bed time, although due to the catnip, we make sure to play this a few hours before bedtime!   She really plays rough with this toy sometimes (she is not declawed) and it is holding up very well!  The perfect item to complete her Pawalla box!

My Opinion:  I love it!  $26 is a great deal to have all of these high-quality items delivered to your door monthly. I especially like that the food, supplements and treats are all natural and of the highest quality, and picked by a qualified nutritionist, it makes me feel that the people at Pawalla really care about your pet.
    Sookie’s Opinion: Purrrrrfect!
At Pawalla, each box is carefully chosen based on the specific size and life stage of your pet. When you JOIN online, they will ask you the needed information to ensure that the box is tailored specifically to your pet.  They offer two subscription choices, monthly for $26 or yearly for $21 (the better deal).  And if your pet falls in love with a specific product, you can purchase it through Pawalla on their online SHOP.   Want to give Pawalla as a GIFT? No problem! They offer you a choice of a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription which you can purchase for a friend or family member.

I received this product for free for the purpose of review. I was not compensated in any other way, nor am I under contract with this company. All opinions are my own!
