ToiletTree Products: For All Your Innovative Toiletry Needs

Professional Cordless Oral Irrigator Review and GIVEAWAY!

ToiletTree Products was created when one man decided to redesign his Christmas present of a fogless shaving shower mirror that wasn’t quite what it was supposed to be.  He took it upon himself to redesign and create a truly fogless mirror that quickly became the number one selling Christmas present on Amazon for 2010.  From that one success, he has created an entire line of innovative and stylish products for the bathroom.  Products such as Travel Mirrors, Fogless Mirrors, grooming items, bamboo accessories, a Toiletry Travel Bag and, a product I was lucky enough to get to try, the Cordless Rechargeable Oral Irrigator.

I am one of those people who want to be sure her teeth are taken care of as well as the rest of myself.  This includes brushing at least two times a day, rinsing with mouthwash and flossing.  Herein lies the problem, flossing.  I have tried so many different types of tooth floss, I have lost count!  I have tried the long pieces you tear off from a spool and I have tried those little floss picks. I’ve tried the thick floss and the thin floss, waxed and non-waxed.  Many work fine, but there are some downsides.  First of all, since I have some teeth that are very close together, I always wind up tearing the floss between those teeth.  I also am not a fan of when you get into the gum wrong and it bleeds.  Not to mention it takes a long time to do a thorough and proper job.  And trying to get your child to floss? Hah!
I can remember when I was a little girl my dad had some kind of an early 1970’s water pick thing in his bathroom that I thought was so cool!  It was this box on the wall that had 2 or 3 little attachment things that fit on the end of this long tube, and it would squirt water into your mouth, how fun!  Of course, at the time I didn’t realize exactly what it was, but now I know it was to floss his teeth using water.  What a cool idea!  Flossing without any tearing of the floss, bleeding of the gums or tired achy hands!   And now, what is even cooler is that I discovered Toilet Tree Products makes a water pick, better know as an Oral Irrigator!  So when I received the opportunity to review one, there was no way I was going to pass it up!

ToiletTree Products Oral Irrigator is not a box stuck on the wall with hoses and a cord attached, instead their Oral Irrigator is a lightweight, cordless water pick that is even rechargeable!  It fits comfortably in one hand and is extremely easy to use.  You just fill up the removable reservoir (or you can use the handy flip up lid at the top to fill it up), select the desired operating mode and turn it on!  Simple, effective and much less abrasive than using string floss.  The powerful stream gets between teeth and washes out food that normal brushing cannot, and also keeps bacteria from building up.  The Oral Irrigator has three operating modes, Normal, Soft and Pulse so you can find the most comfortable and effective mode for you.  It also comes with two, removable nozzles that can rotate around at a 360 degree angle allowing access to the hardest-to-reach areas.  And since there are two of these nozzles, each with a different colored ring around it for easy identification, it is perfect for multiple users.

My husband and I have been using this for almost a month now.  We are both very pleased with how well it works.  I tend to use it on the Pulse setting which massages my gums while cleaning in between and around my teeth, while my husband prefers the Soft mode since he has very sensitive gums and some caps and other dental work.  The first few times I use it I wanted to be sure it was removing everything from in between my teeth, so I would use regular string floss afterwards to make sure.  Sure enough, the Oral Irrigator was doing it’s job, even between my tightest teeth.  I also don’t have to worry about accidentally being too rough with the floss and causing my gums to bleed when I use the Oral Irrigator. After using it for awhile now, I can tell a difference in that my teeth and gums feel very clean and look healthy too (that is according to my dentist whom I saw last week).  We also love how long the rechargeable battery lasts!  We both have been using it for about 40 days now, two times per day, and have yet to recharge!  Very impressive!  It does have a blue indicator light that will start blinking during or after use when it is time to recharge, and according to the manual, a full recharging will take about eight (8) hours.

      EASY REFILL FLIP-UP LID
I do have some words of advice and caution.  Number one, if you have never used a product like this, always read the instructions first so you can be sure of what you are doing.  Number two, if you do not floss often, be prepared for some  light bleeding to occur around your gums as they are most likely inflamed and tender due to bacteria and lack of flossing;  you may even experience some very slight bleeding the first couple of times you use it if you have sensitive gums.  I am not a dentist by any means, nor do I intend for this to be taken as medical advice, (it is NOT), but rather I have learned this from my dentist and through my own past experience, and just want to let you know so you don’t think the Irrigator is messing you up!  I do have sensitive teeth, so I like to put slightly warm water in mine to avoid any discomfort with cold water.  Third, watch out the first time you use it!! It can be a bit messy and I wound up with water splashing all over my counter around the sink until I learned to sort of lean over into the sink and turn my head to let the water flow out as I move from side to side.  Don’t worry, you will get the hang of it!  Last, but not least, keep in mind that this is a very compact Oral Irrigator which means it has a small reservoir so you may need to refill it if you want to use it for an extended period of time.  That is super easy to do with the handy little flip-up lid at the top of the unit.  Just lift the flap, refill, close and continue, it does not take but a few seconds to refill.  For myself, I found that one full reservoir was plenty.

     REMOVABLE RESERVOIR
Overall my gums have never been healthier, nor has my mouth ever felt so fresh and clean!  Even my dentist remarked on how much healthier my gums were, and I had been flossing regularly even before I tried the Oral Irrigator.  Some of you may have known about ToiletTree’s Oral Irrigator, but note that this is the re-modeled version of their first one, and it is great!  You can purchase the Cordless Rechargeable Irrigator through their site’s link to Amazon HERE. However, guess what? Yep!  It’s GIVEAWAY TIME!! ToiletTree has been generous enough to offer one lucky Bullock’s Buzz fan their very own Cordless Rechargeable Oral Irrigator!  Just enter through the Rafflecopter below.  This giveaway will begin at 12:01am EST tonight and end on Sept. 18th at 12:01am EST. It is open to all people in Canada and the U.S.A
