Brianna’s Fine Dressings

Delectably Delicious Dressings

The first time I ever ate Japanese food as a eight year old child, I fell in love with this one restaurant’s Ginger dressing they put on their salads.  Every time we went to eat at this particular restaurant I would teasingly ask for their recipe, which of course I never got.  We would eat at other Japanese restaurants over the course of my growing up, and I would always order the salad hoping to find the same dressing, but with no luck.  Once I was living on my own, my love for this dressing continued, and I would search high and low in every store I went to trying to find a similar tasting dressing.  But the only place I could find it was at this one restaurant.  One recently-past birthday we decided to go there to eat only to discover, to my horror, that the restaurant had closed, and with it went my chances of ever tasting that fabulous dressing again.  Or so I thought!

Searching the internet one day I read a review on some dressings made by a company called Briannas .  The author of this review was highly complimentary of these dressings which piqued my curiosity.  I love to eat salads and I firmly believe a salad is just not a salad without a good dressing.  So after reading this review, I went to check out Briannas Dressings for myself.  Founded 30 years ago in Austin, Texas, Briannas originally started as the family owned and operated Del Sol Food Company.  Today, it has grown to be one of the world’s most popular dressings.  In keeping with their original goal of creating the highest quality, most delicious salad dressing, they continue to make all of their “home style” dressings in small batches using only the finest, all-natural ingredients.  You won’t find any artificial ingredients in these dressings.

Briannas was generous enough to send me three bottles of dressings for review, and I bet you can guess at least one of them!  While browsing through their fantastic selection of products, my eyes fell upon one specific dressing, the Saucy Ginger Mandarin.  It has been quite awhile since I have had a Ginger dressing, and despite the fact that I have long since given in to the fact that I will probably never find a similar dressing to the one I loved, I decided to give it one last try.  Attempting to decide on two more flavors was near impossible as Briannas has such a great selection.  Dressings such as Poppy Seed, Lemon Tarragon, Asiago Caesar, Real French Vinaigrette and so many more had my mouth watering just thinking about them!  After changing my mind repeatedly, I finally decided on Briannas Classic Buttermilk Ranch and their New American Creamy Balsamic.  Little did I know, my taste buds were about to be sent to heaven!!

New American Creamy Balsamic

What They Say: A wonderful blend of signature culinary flavors from different cultures around the world.  A combination of all natural ingredients such as honey, premium balsamic vinegar, grape juice, garlic, spices and more.  Use it on salads or as a marinade or glaze on meat, fish or poultry.

What I Say:  An incredible combination of flavors blended into one perfect dressing!  This creamy, rich dressing has a strong bite of vinegar tamed by the sweetness of honey and grape juice, then rounded off with a hint of garlic and other spices.  I have used it both as a salad dressing and as a marinade for a baked chicken dish.  Delicious!

Classic Buttermilk Ranch

What They Say:  “Rich and creamy and brimming with buttermilk goodness”.  Made with all natural ingredients such as vinegar, sugar, buttermilk powder, garlic puree, apple cider vinegar and other seasonings and spices.

What I Say: This very thick and creamy dressing has a yummy buttermilk base with the tang of vinegar and other seasonings and spices.  I use it on salads and as a dip for raw vegetables like carrots, celery, broccoli and cauliflower.

And last, but not least…

Saucy Ginger Mandarin

What They Say:  Tn exotic blend of minced ginger, tangy soy sauce and juicy mandarin oranges.  Made only with all natural ingredients, it is perfect for salads or as a marinade for meats, veggies and seafood.  Also great as a dip for eggrolls!

What I Say: The Search is finally over!  Yep, this dressing is the closest I have ever found to my beloved Japanese ginger salad dressing!  I couldn’t believe it when I first tasted it, but by the second bite of salad, I was in love!  This dressing has the perfect blend of sweetness mixed with tanginess all tied together with a hint of the very unique taste of ginger.  Perfect on a salad!  I have also used it as a marinade on a vegetable dish of snow peas, carrots, broccoli, red bell peppers and water chestnuts which turned out to be incredibly delicious!

My Opinion?

That review I told you I had read about Briannas was absolutely correct!  These are truly some of the best dressings I have ever had!  Each one has a bold, unique taste and is made with only all natural ingredients and does not contain any artificial ingredients at all.  I highly recommend Briannas dressings!

Briannas can be found in the U.S., Canada, the U.K and many other countries worldwide.  You can go to their website and find a map which will point out locations where you can buy their dressings depending on the country where you live.  For example, if you live in the United States, just click the state where you live, and it will pull up a list of retailers.  You can also purchase their dressings through their online store.

When you visit Briannas  online, be sure to check out their recipes tab where you can find a great selection of ideas for salads, marinades, kids recipes and more, plus, you can submit your own recipe as well!  You can even search for recipes by a particular Briannas dressing or by keywords.  I have found many delicious and affordable dishes to make through their site, so check it out!  Be sure to ‘like’ Briannas on Facebook as well so you can find even more great recipes and ideas!

I received this product for free for the purpose of review.  I was not compensated in any other way, nor am I under contract with this company.  All opinions are my own!

We love Brianna's dressings here, they make one of the only ranch dressings my youngest boy can eat! I love the poppyseed dressing on a spinach salad, and the asiago is my favorite for a side salad with my spaghetti! :)

I have been a HUGE fan of Briannas for YEARS!!!! As a couponer, I cringe at spending more than $0.25 a bottle on salad dressing so my Ginger Dressing and my Poppy Seed dressing are for ME only in our house!!! Glad you like the Ginger as much as I do!!!!

We love Briannas salad dressings around here. They never last and it's mainly because I eat salad even more when they are in my refrigerator. They are great for dipping fresh veggies in too! My mom is obsessed with the Poppy Seed dressing. I see she isn't the only one around here :)

I think I've heard of Del Sol! Maybe because I lived in Austin for a couple of years? I didn't know about the name change though, nor have I tried any of the dressings. They sound so yummy, and I'm glad you finally found your close-enough favorite match!! Thanks for the review!
