   It’s that time of the year again, cooler weather, bitter winds, shorter days and more runny noses, germs and colds!  That’s why it is more important than ever to protect yourself and your children from those nasty germs, which includes frequent hand washing and disinfecting.  There are so many types of bottles of disinfecting hand-rubs and disinfecting wipes which are great for quick cleaning, but if you are like me, you do not want your children or yourself using them because of the negative press some of the ingredients have been receiving, especially the alcohol.  It seems like alcohol is the main ingredient in all bottles of hand sanitizer, and though it may kill a percentage of the germs, it often dries out your skin leaving it red, irritated and flaky, not to mention it smells bad, too!   So what’s a mom to do?  Try safeHands!

   safeHands is a new antiseptic hand sanitizer, invented by doctors, that is alcohol free, non-toxic and contains ingredients which not only kill 99.99% of all germs, but also preserves the natural oils in your skin helping to soothe, nourish and leave hands moisturized and germ-free, not irritated, flaky and dry.  So you can use it multiple time a day without having to worry about negative side effects.   Instead of alcohol, safeHands uses , Benzalkonium Chloride, a non-toxic antiseptic as the active ingredient.  It is foam-based, so the consistency is perfect, not too thin as to be watery and not too thick as to be gooey.  It only takes two or three pumps to thoroughly cleanse my hands.

   My whole family used safeHands over the last several weeks, and all of us were very pleased with the results.  Both lines absorb quickly and leaves your hands soft, not dry and not sticky. The scents are very pleasant without that harsh, medicinal smell most sanitizers have, and they are not so strong as to be overpowering.  As a mom, I was pleased to know that safeHands kills 99.99% of germs, while as a woman, I was happy to see it left my hands soft and moisturized!  Although nothing is a replacement for thoroughly washing hands, safeHands is a great, effective way to ensure hands are germ-free and we are taking all necessary precautions to avoid nasty germs and winter-time colds.  Plus, safeHands makes a great stocking stuffer!
