RoomMates Décor Wall Decals: Removable and Re-Usable

Win a $25 Gift Certificate!

Everyone that reads Bullock’s Buzz knows I love removable wall decals, and now I have found another awesome sight with incredibly realistic-looking wall decals.  The site? RoomMates Decals.  The answer to any plain and boring wall!  Roommates has peel and stick décor for every taste and every room from the baby’s nursery to the college student’s dorm!   And since they are removable, you don’t have to worry about damaging the walls!

We live in an apartment, and as everyone knows, you are limited to what you are allowed to do when it comes to painting or wallpapering the walls, that’s why I am so happy to have discovered RoomMates Décor!  Now my apartment looks more like a home.  Instead of plain eggshell white walls, it looks like I have hand-painted murals and designs, so much more personal and ‘home-y’!

The wonderfully kind people at RoomMates Décor let me have my choice of decals to review, and since I love design and artwork with a taste of the Orient, I choose the Painted Bamboo Giant Wall Decals.   Each element has been hand drawn in the painterly style with subdued black and gray hues to give the entire decal a realistic hand-painted look once applied to the wall.  These decals came on two separate sheets, one about 18” x 40”, the other 9” x 40”,with a total of 44 individual pieces.  There is a diagram on the back of the box which shows the approximate measurements once the decal is assembled, so you can be sure it will fit in the spot you choose.

Once you have the wall chosen, all you have to do is peel each piece off the sheet and apply to the wall.  Although you can assemble the design any way you like, the individual pieces are numbered so you can follow the example on the box if you prefer.  With my husband and I working together, we were able to have the entire decal up within 20 minutes, and it looks wonderful!  It really made a huge difference in the appearance of the room.  In fact, it looks like we had an artist come in and paint the design on the wall I am so happy that RoomMates Decals are removable and re-usable so that when we move, the decal can come with!

I love that idea, I had a guy that used to do murals and said that while they are pretty, it is almost impossible to paint over them without sanding them off first. He even suggests these types of things.
