Hydros Bottle The Water Bottle with a Built In Filter

Have Clean Water Where Ever You Go!
2012 Holiday Gift Guide Selection

If your water tastes anything like mine, then you probably refuse to drink it until it has been filtered!  All the water we drink at home is run through our pitcher first, and it works out perfectly.  We save money by not buying cases of bottled water, and our water always tastes crisp, clean and cold!  But what about when we leave to go out for awhile?  Sure, we can take a water bottle filled with filtered water with us, but the majority of the time we run out, and are left with the option of buying bottled water or something else to drink!  Wouldn’t it be great if you could filter water wherever you are? Thanks to Hydros Bottle you can!

Hydros Bottle is exactly that, a water bottle with a built-in filter!  These neat bottles are made of Tritan® Plastic and are BPA-free, phthalates-free and are dishwasher safe. Made right here in the U.S.A. each 16 ounce water bottle comes with a replaceable anti-microbial, activated carbon filter that filters out chlorine, chloramines and particulates leaving your water with a crisp, clean refreshing taste.  There are two ways to refill it, from the top or a side port, and it has a lid that you twist to open or close.  It filters water amazingly fast, taking about 15 seconds to fill the bottle.  There is also a handy little strap by which you can carry it with you.
hydros3Can be filled from the side port or by taking the lid off
The replaceable filters are recyclable and should last for 20 gallons (about 150 uses).  Replacement filters can be purchased through the site, and Hydros Bottle actually offers a subscription service where a new filter will be sent to you every two months, and you will save 10% off the regular price.

The benefits to purchasing a Hydros Bottle are many!  Not only are you drinking fresh, deliciously clean water, but you are also saving yourself money by no longer having to buy bottled water.  Even more importantly, you are reducing the amount of plastic water bottles that find their way to landfills yearly!  *Did you know nearly 38 million plastic water bottles are added to landfills each year?  The more you use your Hydros Bottle, the less you are contributing to this overwhelming number!  To learn more about the true cost of bottled water, click HERE.

Here’s another disturbing fact: *1 in every 7 people lack access to clean water!  Hydros Bottle has formed Operation Hydros to help fight back against this Global Crisis.  You become part of Operation Hydros when you purchase a Hydros Bottle because part of that money is donated to help fund sustainable water infrastructure projects.   For their first project, Project Gundom, Operation Hydros joined together with a chapter of Engineers Without Borders to deliver fresh water to the village of Gundom in Cameroon, and more projects are on the horizon!
The Verdict
I love how fast the water filters into the bottle, and the taste is very clean and fresh.  At first it was difficult to twist the lid open and closed, but after repeated use, it became much easier.  Hydros Bottle is very convenient and I appreciate the fact than not only does it help me do my part for the environment, but it also helps to save me money!  True, $28 for one bottle does sound like a lot, especially when you add in an extra $60 a year on replacement filters, but when I did the math, I realized it really does come out cheaper to buy the Hydros Bottle.  In my situation we were buying a case of water each week at almost $4 a case, so that’s $16 to $20 a month, times 12 months equals $192 to $240 a year on disposable plastic bottles of water!   Not to mention we were adding over 1100 plastic bottles to our landfill every year!  Wow!  So in my opinion, Hydros Bottle is well worth it in so many ways!

The eco-friendly Hydros Bottle comes in five bright colors and costs around $28.  The bottles, as well as replacement filters, can be purchased directly through the Hydros Bottle website.  If you are not completely satisfied, you can return it under their 100% money back guarantee!   The bottles can also be found on Amazon.com.  Be sure to help even more by recycling your used Hydros Bottle filter. You can return your used filter to Hydros Bottle by mailing it to this address on their website, and be sure to check back regularly for an upcoming list of participating retailers.
Hydros Bottle can also be found on Facebook and Twitter, where you can learn even more about how Hydros Bottle is helping in the Water Crisis, eco-friendly tips and information, deals, promotions and more!  Hydros Bottle would make a perfect stocking stuffer or gift for anyone on your list this Holiday Season.  Check out this helpful video below for the first time you use your new Hydros Bottle!

I would love to get these for my house. We use a lot of different water bottles but I would love to have some that have a filter.

This is so cool! I find myself to be one of those people that collect water bottles and hide them away in my cabinet for safe keeping! Most of them never get used but this would be something I would use on a daily basis. I have never found one that actually has a filter!
