The Timeless Craft of Artisan Soap Making: YesterYear Soap Company

Win A Set of 3 Hand Crafted All Natural Scented Soaps!

Anyone who reads my blog knows I am becoming a huge supporter of using all natural products, especially when it comes to bath products!  So I am always on the lookout to try products I haven’t tried before.
I recently came across a company called the YesterYear Soap Company who hand crafts all of their soaps using only all natural ingredients.   They are made completely by hand from start to finish in small batches, using all natural vegetable oils.  There are no artificial substances like dyes, parabens and preservatives, and organically grown products are used wherever possible.  You will not find any detergents, alcohols or any of the other chemicals commonly found in the majority of commercial soaps.
The fragrances are made using either essential oils or blends of natural aroma components which contain nothing but natural ingredients, plus there are no animal by-products used.  Color is derived from natural herbs.  So when you bathe with YesterYear’s soaps, you are using only the most gentle, natural ingredients on your skin.

YesterYear Soap Company’s products are available in a wide selection of scents including Lavender, Mountain Air, Vanilla Honey, Wild Flower, Lilac, Honeysuckle and many more!

I received a special 3 Bar Sampler Set for review which came in a pretty box lined with recycled packaging and a clear lid tied with twine.   Each 3.5 ounce bar is individually wrapped and is a different scent.  My sampler set came with Night Jasmine, Mango Papaya and Wild Flowers, but the one offered on the site comes with different scents.

All three soaps have a wonderful scent, the Mango Papaya has a sweet citrusy scent, while both the Night Jasmine and Wild Flowers have a fragrant, floral perfume.  Their colors are rich and vibrant, and I love how the Mango Papaya is a creamy white color with brown spots.

Mango Papaya: wonderful fresh and clean citrus scent!

Night Jasmine:  earthy, floral scent!

Wild Flowers: light, sweet floral scent!

Some natural soaps I have used before barely lather, and in my mind the more lather there is the better the soap is cleaning.  I know that this lack of lather is due to there being no harsh chemicals in the soap, but the YesterYear Soap Company’s soap actually lathers quite well!

I have also noticed that some soaps seem hard to rinse off, like they are leaving an oily film on my skin, this is not so with the YesterYear Soap Company’s soaps.  They rinse easily leaving my skin silky smooth, softly scented and clearly clean.
Soaps from the YesterYear Soap Company can be purchased directly through their site. They are available as single bars, gift sets and even wholesale.  All natural scented soaps are the perfect addition to any green-living home, and they make excellent gifts as well!  Be sure to follow the YesterYear Soap Company on both Facebook and Twitter to keep up with all the latest products and promotions.
