Godefroy Beauty Products

Innovative Tools and Products for All Your Eyelash and Eyebrow Needs

Godefroy is the name associated with professional eyelash and eyebrow needs in the beauty industry.  Originally from France, their products have been used for decades by professional stylists to cover even the most resistant grays, not only on the hair, but also on the brows, beards, mustaches and more.  From this base, Godefroy has expanded to include a full line of innovative beauty products for the eyelashes and eyebrows.  Products such as Eyebrow Lightening Cream, 28 Day Mascara, Temporary Eye Shadow Tattoos and more.  I had the opportunity to try two of their products, the Mascara Warmer and the Heated Eyelash Curler.

The Mascara Warmer does exactly what the name implies, it warms your mascara to make application easier and less clumpy, and to give you better defined lashes with longer lasting curl.  This small lightweight warmer works with all brands of mascara and is simple to use.  You simply insert your mascara tube into the warmer until it touches the bottom, plug the unit in, turn it on and wait.  The unit will illuminate so you know it is working.  Around 5 to 7 minutes later, remove the tube and apply.  Your mascara will go on much easier with a noticeable difference as far as clumping is concerned.  It will be smoother and creamier.  I tried it with two different brands of mascara and did notice a difference in how well they warmed.  Brand A still was a bit clumpy, but not nearly as much as usual.  It seemed like a lot more came out of the tube, so I made sure to wipe the extra mascara off on the top of the mascara bottle.  Brand B went on much better;  smoother than ever before, and with no clumping at all.  I could feel a vague warmth when applying, and, as the directions suggested, while applying to my upper lid, I gently lifted my lashes towards the lid and held for a couple of seconds. This actually added a bit of curl and made my lashes even more noticeable. In my opinion, the Mascara Warmer is a good idea and works well, but I do believe a lot will depend on the brand of mascara.

IT WILL ILLUMINATE WHEN ON
The second tool I tried was the Heated Eyelash Curler.  This curler is much more gentle than the traditional “squeeze” curler;  it’s quicker and easier to use and lasts much longer. It is about the size of a marker in both length and diameter which makes it convenient to carry in your purse.  It is also very lightweight.  It needs one AAA battery to function and is extremely easy to use.  To insert the battery, you gently pull the curler from the outer tube as shown on the directions and insert the battery, then put it back together. There is an on-off switch on the side, and a small green light which will glow when it is on.  Allow the curler to heat for 30 seconds, then place the heated comb directly under the eyelash line and gently lift the lashes against the eyelid and hold for about 8 to 10 seconds.  I found it worked best when repeated once or twice.  I think a lot has to do with the length and thickness of your lashes.  Don’t worry about getting burned as the curler does not get too hot, I tested it against my finger just to be on the safe side and could only feel a slight warmth, the same slight warmth you will feel when using it to curl your lashes.  I was pretty impressed with the curler and could tell a definite difference.  You can use this while wearing mascara or just on your bare lashes. I have noticed that the curl will last longer if you use it while wearing mascara since the mascara helps to hold the curl.

All in all, I like these tools from Godefroy, and am interested in trying some of their other products as well.  You can find both the Mascara Warmer and the Heated Eyelash Curler on Godefroy’s website, as well as many other unique and innovative beauty tools.  Godefroy products can be purchased through their site, as well as at many other authorized dealers.  Click HERE for a list you can search by state.

I received this product for free for the purpose of review. I was not compensated in any way, nor am I under contract with this company.  All opinions are my own.

I notice a big different in your eyelashes. I hate how my eyelashes are so short so I am always sporting the false ones. haha

This is neat. I didn't know they made anything like this. My eyelashes are pretty long but I get tired of curling them everyday with a traditional curler because I feel it pulls them out :\ This looks like it would be a lot easier to get the curl.

Wow, I never knew products like this were out there. My mascaras are always clumpy. And I've never curled my lashes before, because it looked hard, this looks like it would be easy, and it made a huge difference on you.

I would never have thought to try a warmer on mascara because I use it so rarely, but certainly something to remember in the future when I need it more! :)
