Wednesday’s Wonderful Recipe

Parmesan Garlic Pork Chops

This is an adaptation of a recipe I found on BigOven.  The only things I changed were the cut of pork chop.  The original recipe called for 6 extra lean, boneless chops, cooked at 400 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes.  I made adjustments for using two large, 3/4” thick, bone-in chops.

This is an extremely quick and easy recipe, one that the whole family will love!

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cooking Time: 35 to 45 minutes

Serves: 2 to 4 depending on size of chops, you may have extra coating left if making only 2

Ingredients

1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese – grated

1 package dry Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Salt and Pepper to taste

3/4” thick, bone-in Pork Chops

Directions

Preheat oven to 350

Mix cheese, garlic and dry salad dressing in a bowl.  Add salt and pepper to taste.

Moisten pork chop slightly with water then dredge through mixture in bowl coating both sides.

Place in a shallow baking dish

Cover with foil, and place in the oven.  (if using original recipe, you do not need to cover with foil)

Bake 35 to 45 minutes depending on how well done you like your chops. You can use a thermometer to check doneness. Medium is usually 160 degrees, well is usually 170 degrees.

Hint – for a pretty golden color flip halfway through the cooking process.

The result is a tender, juicy delicious dinner!   Add one or two healthy sides, or maybe a salad, and enjoy!

Enjoy!
