A Smiley360 Mission Review

 

   They are coming!  Quicker than you can say Old Saint Nick! The Holidays!  True, it is still a week before Thanksgiving, but everywhere you go you see signs that the winter Holidays are almost here!  Our family always puts up our Christmas decorations over the long Thanksgiving weekend when our bellies are full and our spirits high!   This year, our Holiday decorating shopping gained an extra stop when I received a $15 gift card to SEARS as part of a Smiley360 Mission!

   For those of you who are not familiar with Smiley360, it is this wonderful word of mouth advertising website where members can apply for missions to try new products in exchange for sharing their honest opinion.  You can find out more by visiting Smiley360.com.

   Last weekend we headed to Sears to explore our decorating options.  The section was easy to find as it is entitled the Christmas Shop and it takes up a quarter of the entire top floor.  I must admit that at first I was a bit disappointed as there was not as many items there as I was hoping.  However, after wandering around the section I realized that they actually offer a pretty wide range of decorations.  There were outdoor decorations for your home’s exterior, decorations for the yard and of course, decorations for the inside of your home.  I also noticed that the prices were very reasonable and the items were of very nice quality.

The outdoor decorations included lawn figurines such as reindeer, snowmen, Santa’s, trees, animals, characters from Charlie Brown and more.  Some had lights, some did not, some were inflatable others were mechanical.  One of my favorites was a mailbox with Snoopy sitting on the top, and the mailbox door would open and close to reveal Woodstock.  The entire decoration was covered in different colored lights.  There were also window decorations, a wide selection of outdoor lighting, wreaths for your doors and more.

                            

   The indoor decorations included lights, ornaments, miniature collectible towns, including an entire Charlie Brown themed set, pre-lit Christmas trees, tabletop decorations, wreaths, garlands, figurines and more.  My favorite was the Lemax Village Collection with all of the miniature houses, stores, people, animals and such.  There was even a beautifully constructed Carousel that was lit up and the horses moved up and down while it spun around and calliope music played.  One day I hope to be able to start a collection! 

   After spending about 40 minutes looking around and trying to make a decision, we finally settled on a box of hand –crafted, miniature glass ornaments for our smaller tree that we usually either keep in a window, on the porch or in either our son’s bedroom or ours.  It happens to be a favorite of mine as it is one of those fiber optic trees that are so tacky, but look so cool!  The box of ten glass ornaments, Celebrations by RADKO, cost $14.99.

   Christopher Radko ornaments have been around for over 25 years.  They make glass ornaments, resin ornaments, glass figurines and other home holiday décor.  Their ornaments can be purchased singularly or in sets, most of which often revolve around a certain contemporary theme or set of colors.  The ornaments we purchased are part of their Exclusive Collections Collection and are a traditional Gingerbread men and candy mints theme.   Christopher Radko ornaments can usually be found in SEARS, Kmart, Meijer, ACE, Menards, Canadian Tire and gift shops.

 

   Of the 10 ornaments, five are Gingerbread men and five are peppermints of various colors.  These are smaller ornaments so the gingerbread men measures about 2.5” tall and the mints around 2”.  Each hand crafted ornament has its own bright colors, sparkling glitter and a little silver tag connected to the crown where you attach a hook (not included).  They are very well-crafted, bright and colorful, and the perfect size for my tree!

   I really enjoyed my shopping experience at SEARS!   Everything was well organized and easy to find, there was a wide assortment of decorations, plenty of stock so nothing was sold out (as of yet), and there were already plenty of sales and great deals to be found!  Everything was bright and cheerful and really helped to get you in the Holiday mood.  If you do not have a SEARS near you, you can always find the same great items and great, affordable prices at the online SEARS Christmas Shop.

Smiley360 all Mighty Pacs Mission

     Yesterday, when I returned home, the mailman had left a box outside my door, and I was so excited to see that my new Smiley360 mission had arrived at last!  I quickly opened the box and found a 24 pack bag of the new all mighty pacs.

      I have been waiting for these to arrive and I immediately ran to our laundry hamper and gathered my husbands work clothes to wash.  Yes, you read that right, I was actually excited about doing a load of filthy, smelly laundry!  Now my husband is an Electrician and he often works jobs from the ground up, but right now he is working on an addition to a monastery.  This means he has been under the building, in the dirt and dust, running wires and other such fun stuff.  So I figured his clothes would be the perfect test for my new all mighty pacs detergent! 

     Once I had gathered his together in the kitchen where the washer and dryer closet is located, I took a few pictures and threw them in the washing machine.  Then I opened my new pack of all mighty pacs detergent, and the very first thing that caught my attention was the incredibly fresh scent.  It truly was a nice and clean smelling scent that I immediately hoped would linger in his clothes.  Next, I noticed that these pacs are very full of a pretty blue-colored liquid detergent;  plenty for this size load. The true test began as I tossed a pac in the machine, set it to the proper setting and closed the lid.

  Now there are some stains on his clothes that absolutely refuse to come out, so I wasn't expecting his clothes to come out of the wash looking brand new, but I was hoping for a major improvement! 

 I was truly impressed with the results!  First of all his clothes looked not only cleaner, but much brighter too.  Every one of the newer stains and patches of dirt were completely gone, and to my amazement, all got almost all of the older stains out his clothes as well!  And that wonderful scent I was hoping would remain?  Still there!  So his clothes smell very clean and fresh, but the scent is not so strong as to be overpowering.

  

    

      My next test was on a load of whites, and again, the result was a pile of wonderfully bright and clean, fresh smelling laundry.  Then a third test on a load of dark-colored laundry, this time washed on a different temperature setting.  These too came out looking and smelling great, with no fading at all.  

     My opinion?  all mighty pacs are wonderful!  Not only do they get your laundry clean and fresh smelling, but these handy little pacs make doing the laundry a cinch!  No more measuring of liquids and powders: one pac equals one regular-sized load and two pacs equals a large-sized load.   No more messy spills, and no more large, bulky boxes taking up half the room on my shelves!  The pacs work great in both cold water and hot water, and are safe to use in newer HE machines as well as older, standard model machines.   all mighty pacs are available in all Original and in all Free Clear.   Cost-wise they are about the same as the other leading brand detergents, but if you are looking for a coupon, you can find one on the all Facebook page here.  I am not sure how long this coupon will be offered, so get it now! You can learn about how they work, other products and much more by checking out the all laundry website at http://www.all-laundry.com/mightypacs/ .

Smiley360 Arm and Hammer Detergent Review

     Today I put my free sample of Arm and Hammer OxiClean Crystal Burst detergent that I received from Smiley360 to the test.  It came in a 21.1oz. bag with 24 paks of detergent.  These paks make doing the wash so simple! Just throw a pak in, set the washing machine and go! The detergent can be used in any temperature water, and in both standard and HE machines.
     As I mentioned before, my husband works in construction as an Electrician, and has been working on a job that is being built from the ground up. Needless to say, his clothes are filthy!  This morning I did a load of his clothes; boy did they smell and were covered in dirt!  Now these pants and shirts are very old and do have paint and oil stains in them that will not come out no matter what I do, but I couldn't wait to see how well it got out the fresh dirt stains.  I used one Power Pak on three pairs of pant, three shirts and some socks. 

  
      I was very surprised and pleased with the results!  Not only did the clothes smell soooo much better with a very pleasant scent, but all of the newer dirt stains were gone, and some of the older stains seem to be much lighter as well! 

     I have gone to the store and priced this detergent, and it is very reasonable, especially compared to some of the other brands. My first test was a great success, and I am very happy!

     The detergent comes in these handy single-use paks (24 in this 21.1oz bag) and has a very pleasant scent.  Each power pak contains "deep cleaning micro crystals" which "remove tough stains, brightens and whitens" and the best part is no measuring!  So not only is this detergent easy to use, you just throw one pak in per load, but it is a lot less messy than liquid and powder detergents, and is easy to store without taking up a lot of room!

     I can't wait to see how well it works, and in my home, it will definitely be put to the test! With a 9 year old boy and a husband who works as an Electrician in construction, I get to wash some smelly, dirty clothes!!  I will be posting my reviews and voicing my opinion over the next couple of weeks. Another review for Smiley360 this one is for my Knorr Homestyle Stock mission, and this recipe is awesome!

Great recipe for green beans! I used my free sample of Knorr Homestyle Stock from my Smiley 360 mission kit! This is a side dish, so make sure you have a use for the rest of the stock! (I used mine to simmer chicken in a skillet along with butter, salt, pepper and thyme.)
Ingredients:
3 slices bacon, chopped
1 tbsp and 1 1/2tsp butter
1/2 red onion, chopped
1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped
4 small new potatoes, diced
1/2 large clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp chicken broth (made from Knorr Homestyle stock)
3/4 tsp white balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
First, cook the chopped bacon in a skillet, over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until evenly browned; drain, set aside on a plate. Next, melt the butter in a skillet over medium-low heat, add the onion, stirring until translucent. Then add the cooked bacon, green beans, potatoes, garlic,& chicken broth.
