Bullock’s Buzz Weekly Recipe

Herbed Corn

This is a very tasty and simple way to turn a boring side dish into a culinary masterpiece!  I found this recipe one day when I was searching through some old recipes I had in a collection of books and other sources.  It was typed up on a piece of paper, so I really have no clue of the original source, but it is delicious!

Although it calls for using frozen corn, I have used fresh corn scraped off the cob, frozen corn and canned corn, and they all turned out fantastic!

Herbed Corn

Tools You Will Need:

-measuring cup                                                                             corn3

-measuring spoons

-large saucepan

Ingredients

-6 cups frozen corn

-1/2 cup water

-1/4 cup butter, cubed

-1 tablespoon minced fresh parsley

-1 teaspoon salt

-1/2 teaspoon dill weed

-1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

-1/4 teaspoon Italian seasoning

-1/8 teaspoon dried thyme

Directions

  1. In a large saucepan, combine corn and water. Bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 4-6 minutes or until corn is tender.
  3. Drain; stir in the remaining ingredients.
  4. Serve and enjoy!!

*****To Make Using Canned Corn*****

1.  Pour corn into large saucepan.

2.  Leaving out the water, add all other ingredients and mix well.

3.  Cook for about 4 to 6 minutes or until corn is done.

4.  Serve and enjoy!!

Oh yum! This corn looks amazing! I already printed the recipe! We froze tons of sweet corn from the garden this year so this will be perfect! Thank you :)
